Over 70% of Residents in Five Nunatsiavut Communities Receive First Dose of Vaccine (Details)

The Nunatsiavut has released the numbers on inoculation rates for the first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Just over 70 per cent of residents of Makkovik, Hopedale, Nain, Rigolet, and Postville have received the first dose.

A tentative schedule has been set for the administration of the second dose in Inuit communities through February.

The Moderna vaccine is considered to be 94 per cent effective.
