How to Watch the ‘Seinfeld’ Reunion, a ‘Fundraiser About Something’ to Turn Texas Blue

The folks who gave us a show about nothing are now giving us a fundraiser about something. Seinfeld creator Larry David is reuniting with stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander in an effort to help Texas go Democratic in the upcoming 2020 election. The virtual reunion, aptly titled a “Fundraiser About Something,” will have the actors discuss their favorite Seinfeld episodes, along with behind-the-scenes stories.

Fans can tune in on Friday at 8 p.m. EST at A donation of any amount to the Texas Democratic Party will be required to access the livestream, but people are encouraged to donated $38 for the 38 electoral college votes the state has in play. The event will be live-streamed only once, so you won’t want to miss it. Late Night host Seth Meyers will be hosting the virtual event.

This reunion is the first time Seinfeld actors have gotten together in over a decade. According to Hollywood Reporter, the last time Louis-Dreyfus, Alexander, Jerry Seinfeld and Michael Richards reunited was in the 2009 season finale of David’s HBO comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Whether or not Seinfeld or Richards will make an appearance remains unclear, though Hollywood Reporter teased that there would be surprise guests in store.

“Texas is a battleground state, period. We knew that we had to reunite for something special and the movement on the ground for Texas Democrats up and down the ballot is the perfect opportunity to do just that,” Louis-Dreyfus, Alexander and David said in a joint statement about the upcoming reunion, via Hollywood Reporter.

“Texans are getting out to vote in droves and showing the world that Texas has never been a red state, it’s been a non-voting state. We couldn’t be more thrilled to host a ‘fundraiser about something’ for a terrific organization like the Texas Democratic Party, who are building the movement necessary to turn Texas blue in 14 days.”

Louis-Dreyfus is an outspoken Democrat. She previously hosted the final night of the Democratic National Convention in August, and encouraged her Twitter users to boycott NBC when the network hosted President Donald Trump‘s town hall last Thursday.

She also poked fun at Trump after a video of him dancing at a recent rally went viral. Louis-Dreyfus likened it to Elaine Benes’ notorious dance.

The Texas Democratic Party is working on turning the historically Republican state Democrat for the upcoming election. “If we flip just 9 of the 150 seats in the Texas House, Democrats will flip the chamber and gain a critical seat at the table for redistricting,” a donation site notes.
