Aerial Search Resumes for Missing Fishing Crew Off Coast of Nova Scotia

RCMP Air Services today resumed the aerial search for the Chief William Saulis, a fishing vessel that went down December 15 off the south coast of Nova Scotia, claiming the lives of six men including a Newfoundlander.

The body of Michael Drake of Fortune was the only one recovered.

RCMP Air Services are searching approximately 100 km of shoreline from Digby Gut to Harbourville.

Nova Scotia RCMP and the RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team are working with the Canadian Coast Guard in planning a recovery effort.

Further updates will be provided once more information is available.
